United We Scratch Our Heads (washingtonpost.com)
On the Mall this Saturday, "United We Stand" will go head-to-head against "United We March."
"United We Stand" is, of course, the bumper sticker slogan that has become ubiquitous in America since Sept. 11 -- a symbol of support for the war on terrorism. It appears on the Web site of the group that is sponsoring a pro-administration demonstration called "The Patriots Rally for America."
"United We March" is, on the other hand, the name of the coalition sponsoring a rally to protest the administration's war on terrorism. "United We March is a reaction to the patriotic slogan United We Stand," says Erica Smiley, a spokeswoman for the group. "United We March is trying to show that we are patriotic, too."
I've just got to laugh at this, im sorry.
