Hello all,
I just thought I would update everyone on how life is going here (again). It's finally gotten cold here in Athens. I put flannel sheets on my bed yesterday, and had the heat on most of yesterday morning and this morning as well. The apartment retains heat very well, and since they cut down the trees in the lot next door, I get full morning and mid-day sun, so the heat stays in the apartment nicely. The only problem is the god aweful tile in the bathroom which maintains the temprature of an artic midnight no matter what temprature the rest of the apartment is. Socks are a must for going to the bathroom in the night. I'm thinking about finding a bath mat somewhere, because its getting intollerable.
I'm taking a break from studying for an exam I have today at 14:00 to write this. I don't have class until 10:10, and I have been up since 4:00. I got a good night's sleep, and had two good cups of Irish Breakfast tea and some cream of rice for breakfast. I think I may make two more cups for myself before I go to class. There is something wonderfully soothing about dark tea and cream on a cold morning. I'd kill for some brown sugar cubes, though. Something about white sugar just seems to harsh on top of the mellow cream and tea.
I'm sure many of you remember my couch, the yellow monster, which also doubled as a shelf in my old room. Now, it does its job as a couch wonderfully. I've taken to spending most of my time on it, laying down, facing my window, watching TV and using my laptop. Strange how old habbits return. My desktop is a good gaming machine, but nothing beats having a laptop for shear comfort and ease. I'm laying on it now, my old lamp on behind my head, my TV turned to something to make noise. The air is a little chill, but I don't mind.
I had a filling done yesterday. They filled the hole left by a filling which failed in tooth 17 (lower left wisdom tooth). All the pain I had felt from the hole is gone now, which is wonderful. The filling is medicated, so hopefully the tooth woln't give me any more problems any time soon. I know I should get the wisdom teeth out, but I really am going to put it off until its a necessity. I often wonder if the wisdom tooth is nature's twisted way of reminding us of our place in evolution.
I realize I'm rambling now. So, a few more quick things. I have two papers I need to start working on, one for each of my seminar classes. My logic class continues to go badly, however, less badly than it has been. We will see how the exam goes today. To complicate matters, Everquest 2 has just come out. My copy is delayed, however, I see no reason for that to be more than a week's delay on my character. More information on her later, though ^^.
For now, that is all. I hope all are doing well.
